Is the agenda the same for every Symposium?

The agenda shows the general daily schedule and the core topics covered. Speaker assignments, demonstrations, and session order may vary by date, technology availability, and clinical needs. The program structure, daily focus, and listed CME opportunities remain the guide for planning your attendance.

What time does each day begin and end?

Friday through Sunday run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday’s Business Startup Workshop runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., allowing for an earlier departure. Plan to arrive in Scottsdale before your first selected program day and confirm your final schedule in the current attendee materials.

What is covered on each day of the four-day Symposium?

Friday focuses on Medical Weight Management, including GLP-1 therapies, Clean Start Weight Loss® protocols, body contouring, and practice implementation. Saturday and Sunday focus on Aesthetic Medicine, including clinical foundations, anatomy, Botox®, cosmetic injectables, skin care, chemical peels, lasers, and practice-tour learning. Monday focuses on building and operating the practice through business planning, pricing, marketing, staffing, operations, financial management, and regulatory awareness.

Where do the classroom sessions and hands-on training take place?

The Symposium is held in Scottsdale, Arizona. Didactic classroom sessions are held at Sonesta Suites Scottsdale Gainey Ranch. Clinical Botox® injection training takes place at SkinScience Dermatology, a working cosmetic dermatology practice—not a hotel meeting room—so providers train in a real clinical environment.

Are meals, breaks, and evening receptions included?

Yes. Lunch and refreshment breaks are included each training day. The agenda also includes welcome or evening receptions with faculty and attendees on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.. These receptions are a relaxed opportunity to meet fellow providers, faculty, and the IAPAM team.

What do I need to bring for the hands-on Botox® training?

For the supervised hands-on Botox® injection workshop, IAPAM provides the products, medical supplies, live models, and training manual. You do not need to bring your own model or injection supplies. Hands-on participation remains subject to your professional eligibility and applicable scope-of-practice, supervision, and prescribing requirements.

How many CME credits can I earn through the Symposium?

The complete four-day Symposium offers up to 33.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits. Friday Medical Weight Management offers 9 credits; the Saturday–Sunday Aesthetic Medicine Program offers 18 credits; and Monday’s Business Startup Workshop offers 6.5 credits. Claim only the credit commensurate with your participation and confirm current accreditation details before attending.

Do I have to attend the full four-day event?

No. You can choose the one-, two-, three-, or four-day program combination that fits your goals. The complete four-day Practice Accelerator combines all three learning tracks. If you have a schedule conflict, you may be able to swap the Friday Medical Weight Management program or Monday Business Workshop for the corresponding on-demand option; contact IAPAM before registering to confirm your path.

Can I bring my practice manager or a staff member?

Yes. The business and operational portions of the Symposium can be especially useful for practice managers and key staff who support patient experience, scheduling, marketing, operations, or implementation. Review the current package options for applicable support-staff registration rates.

How should I plan my travel and hotel stay?

Plan to arrive before your first selected training day and depart after your final day. Sonesta Suites Scottsdale Gainey Ranch is IAPAM’s official attendee hotel and the didactic venue. View hotel, attendee-rate, airport, and travel details before booking.
