About Dr. Watwood

Dr. Ann Watwood, NMD, is a licensed naturopathic physician and aesthetic medicine educator specializing in non-surgical facial aesthetics, laser and energy-based treatments, anti-aging medicine, and women’s health. She serves as Medical Director of the Clearskin Institute of Laser Aesthetics in Arizona, where she combines individualized patient care with advanced aesthetic treatment planning and professional education.

Dr. Watwood’s clinical expertise includes neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulators, laser skin resurfacing, photofacial treatments, skin rejuvenation, and other advanced aesthetic procedures. She is certified in advanced laser skin care and injectable therapies and is known for a patient-centered approach that prioritizes facial assessment, natural-looking outcomes, long-term skin health, and appropriate treatment selection.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Arizona State University and her medical degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Watwood is affiliated with the Arizona Naturopathic Board of Aesthetic Medicine and has been associated with the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine and the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Watwood is an experienced national trainer in aesthetic medicine. She educates medical professionals on facial injectables, laser resurfacing, photofacials, skin tightening, body contouring, regenerative aesthetic procedures, hair restoration, and the practical integration of aesthetic technologies into medical practices.

Dr. Watwood is a Galderma GAIN trainer and has been recognized through the Clearskin Institute’s designation as a Center of Excellence for Galderma and Merz Aesthetics. She also serves as a key opinion leader for organizations including BENEV, Aesthetic Management Partners, and Sciton.

As an IAPAM faculty member, Dr. Watwood brings extensive clinical and educational experience in facial assessment, injectable aesthetics, laser-based treatments, skin rejuvenation, regenerative aesthetics, and evidence-informed treatment planning. Her instruction helps medical professionals build the clinical judgment, technical understanding, and patient-centered approach needed to provide aesthetic medicine services responsibly and effectively.
