No. All of our entry-level courses are designed for licensed healthcare providers who are new to aesthetic medicine. You do not need prior injection experience to enroll in the Introduction to Botulinum Toxins or Introduction to Cosmetic Injectables courses.
Yes. All courses are accredited for AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits. The number of credits varies by course and is listed on each course page.
Individual courses include 12 months of access from your enrollment date. Annual certification programs (CAP and CWMP) renew access on your anniversary date.
Yes. All courses are fully self-paced and online. There are no live sessions, set schedules, or deadlines within your access period.
Yes. RNs are welcome to enroll in all online courses. However, you are responsible for understanding and complying with your state's scope of practice laws regarding aesthetic injections, including any supervision requirements. IAPAM does not provide legal or scope-of-practice guidance.
Online training is open to MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, RNs, LPNs, DDS/DMD, and PharmDs. If you hold a different credential, you will need to consult your state governing board to confirm you have the legal authority to perform aesthetic injections. If your board confirms you do, please contact us with documentation before enrolling.
No. Online courses cover clinical knowledge, protocols, anatomy, and procedural videos — but do not include hands-on practice. If you want in-person injection training, visit our Aesthetic Medicine Symposium page.
A certificate is awarded upon completion of an individual course. A certification (CAP or CWMP) is an annual credential that requires ongoing renewal and demonstrates a broader level of training and commitment to the field.
Yes. Most courses and bundles offer monthly or quarterly payment plans. Payment plan options are listed on each course and bundle page.
Annual certifications auto-renew on your anniversary date at the renewal rate listed at enrollment (CAP: $1,497/yr; CWMP: $597/yr). You can cancel anytime in your billing settings under your profile. Renewal gives you continued access to all course content and any new courses added to the program.
