Why should I travel to Scottsdale instead of training locally?
Local options are growing, but most use hotel ballrooms and undisclosed instructors. IAPAM training takes place inside a working cosmetic dermatology clinic, led by board-certified dermatologists. You'll inject multiple live models in a proper medical setting — and earn up to 33.5 CMEs over 4 days. No local program comes close to that combination.
Do I need prior experience with Botox® to attend?
No prior experience is required. The program is designed for licensed providers who are new to aesthetic medicine, as well as those looking to expand their existing skills. The Blended Learning Upgrade gives you online access to all course materials before you arrive so you can hit the ground running.
What's the difference between the 2-day, 3-day, and 4-day programs?
The 2-day program (Sat–Sun) covers Botox®, fillers, lasers, peels, and microdermabrasion. The 3-day programs add either a business day (Mon) or a GLP-1/weight management day (Fri). The 4-day Practice Accelerator includes all of the above. All programs include hands-on injection training on live models.
How many CMEs will I earn?
Up to 33.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CMEs for the 4-day program. The 2-day program earns 18 CMEs, the 3-day programs earn 24.5 or 27 CMEs depending on which you choose, and the 1-day weight loss program earns 9 CMEs. All nursing boards accept IAPAM attendance CMEs as equivalent CE credits.
Will I actually inject on live patients?
Yes. Injection labs are conducted on live volunteer models in a clinical setting. Labs are capped at 7 participants so you get meaningful hands-on time. You'll perform multiple injections on a live model and observe others in your small cohort because patient anatomy varies significantly from person to person.
What is the Blended Learning Upgrade?
For $495 added at checkout, you get immediate online access to all course materials — videos, anatomy modules, injection protocols, and business content — before you arrive in Scottsdale. It's the best way to maximize your in-person time and arrive prepared.
Can I apply my online training credit toward in-person tuition?
Yes. A portion of your online training tuition can apply toward in-person tuition at the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium.
What is the scope of practice for Botox® injections in Texas?
In Texas, RNs may perform Botox® injections under a physician's standing delegation order. NPs and PAs must operate under a collaborative practice agreement with a supervising physician, though the level of required supervision has been reduced in recent years. Always verify your current scope of practice with your state licensing board before enrolling. IAPAM staff can help answer general eligibility questions — call 1-866-211-6901.
What is the cancellation policy?
Training fees are non-refundable.
Once your payment has been received and processed, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
If for some reason you cannot attend the symposium you must give at least 14 days’ notice to receive a full credit for a future symposium otherwise a $500 re-booking charge will apply (to cover printing and hotel expenses incurred).
If for some unforeseen reason the symposium is canceled, you will receive a full refund limited to the registration fees already paid. Read the full cancellation policy
