6. What is the class size, and is the training physician-focused?

Class size directly affects the quality of your hands-on experience. In a group of 20 or 30 attendees, each person gets a fraction of the instructor’s attention and a fraction of the injection time. In a group of 7 or fewer, the instructor can observe every injection, provide real-time feedback, and ensure that each attendee leaves with a solid technical foundation.

The composition of the class also matters. Some programs mix physicians, nurses, estheticians, and other designations in the same session. If you are a physician or NP looking to build a practice, training alongside peers at the same level of clinical knowledge creates a more relevant learning environment and a more appropriate peer network.
