Botox Training® at Aesthetic Medicine Symposium — Saturday & Sunday

Hands-on training takes place in a working, state-of-the-art dermatology practice in Scottsdale, Arizona—not in a hotel meeting room or generic conference space. Training in a real clinical setting helps participants see how an aesthetic practice operates while they learn.

Yes. The hands-on injection workshop uses live patient models. You apply the structured training approach during supervised clinical practice rather than only observing lectures or demonstrations.

No. IAPAM provides the live patient models for the injection workshop, so you do not need to recruit, coordinate, or bring anyone with you.

Each participant completes a full Botox^® treatment on one live model. The exact number of injections varies by the patient’s treatment plan, anatomy, and clinical needs. Training is intentionally held in small groups, which lets you observe additional full treatments performed by other attendees as well.

The hands-on workshop uses a small-group format to support close faculty supervision. You learn from board-certified dermatologist faculty who teach injection technique, patient assessment, facial anatomy, product selection considerations, and treatment planning in a real-practice environment.

The program is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who want to add aesthetic procedures to a new or existing practice. Many attendees are new to injectables, so the curriculum starts with the essential anatomy, assessment, safety, patient-selection, and protocol foundations before hands-on practice.

Dermal filler education is didactic only in this program. Most attendees are brand new to injectable procedures, and IAPAM’s approach is to help providers become comfortable and proficient with Botox^® fundamentals before progressing to the added complexity of filler injections.

Safe injectable practice requires a strong base in facial anatomy, patient selection, risk awareness, consultation, treatment planning, and Botox^® technique. Establishing that foundation first is important for providers who are new to injections and want to build skills responsibly before moving into dermal fillers.

The core Aesthetic Medicine Program is held Saturday and Sunday as part of the four-day Aesthetic Medicine Symposium in Scottsdale. It offers 18 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits for the two-day program. Providers can also add the Friday Medical Weight Management program and/or Monday Business Startup Workshop, subject to the current program and credit details.

The program also includes foundational aesthetic-medicine education in areas such as dermal fillers, chemical peels, facial rejuvenation, microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, anatomy, facial musculature, skin assessment, patient selection, contraindications, and safe treatment planning.
