Laser treatment has become an integral part of cosmetic health care in the modern world, and the most popular laser procedure is the use of lasers for hair removal.
Laser therapy for hair removal operates on the principle that specific wavelengths of light which pulsate at a specific frequency are directed towards the base of the hair follicle (in hair removal) and different layers of the skin (in skin rejuvenation). The skin or the base of the hair follicle absorbs light which is then converted to heat. This heat is what produces the change required in the skin (such as removal of wrinkles and scars) and removes the hair from the area.
The advantage is that laser can be directed to a specific point where treatment is required without affecting the surrounding areas. It is therefore extremely useful in managing localized hair problems.
