MIC is an acronym for the compounds: L-Methionine, Inositol and Choline.
These are lipotropic agents which help with the breakdown of fat during metabolism in the body.
Many weight loss clinics call them “fat-burning” injections.
As part of a successful VLCD (very low calorie diet) medically supervised weight loss program, physicians add MIC injections as a therapy to augment a patient’s weight loss experience.
Since the Clean Start Weight Loss program releases much fat into the body, lipotropic injections help move fat out of the liver.
Some accelerated hormone based weight loss programs enhance their MIC injections with associated fat burning compounds such as Cyanocobalamin. Or they add additional injections to complement their MIC injection protocol, such as injections of B6 and/or B12.
L- Methionine is one of eight essential amino acids that are the building blocks for proteins but which cannot be produced in the body.
Aside from injection or ingestion as a supplement, L-Methionine can be found in meats and dairy products, as well as spinach, potatoes, Brazil nuts and sesame seeds.
L-Methionine is useful in the treatment of liver disease and is a recommended supplement for vegetarians.
For weight management, L- Methionine helps the body process and eliminate fat. It is a required amino acid in the production of cysteine and taurine, which help the body eliminate toxins.
Inositol is a carbohydrate, but is not considered a sugar, and was once considered a member of the vitamin B complex. But since the body is able to synthesize it, it is not a classic vitamin.
It is also found predominantly in fruits such as cantaloupe and oranges, as well as bananas, kidney beans, raisins, and peanuts.
In the management of weight, inositol, when used in combination with other B complex vitamins, helps the liver break down fats in the body.
When used in combination with other compounds in a MIC injection, especially choline, inositol forms lecithin which is known to aid in the metabolism of fat.

How to start a profitable medical weight management practice that really works!
Choline is considered an essential nutrient that, while produced in the liver, is generally not produced in sufficient quantities.
Like inositol, it is often grouped within the B complex of vitamins, although it is not a true B vitamin.
Choline is required in the regulation of the kidneys, liver and gallbladder.
As part of a weight loss program, choline is essential for fat metabolism, it functions as a methyl donor and it assists detoxification reactions in the liver.
Soybeans along with eggs are two of our best choline-based food sources, as well as beef liver, cauliflower, tofu and almonds.
The components of a MIC injection, especially inositol and choline, have been found to improve mental function and improve feelings of depression.
As part of a successful physician-supervised VLCD weight loss program, MIC injections are typically given weekly for the duration of the program.

B12 shots and lipotropic shots are both types of injections that are used to support weight loss and promote overall health, but they contain different ingredients and work in slightly different ways.
B12 shots typically contain only vitamin B12, which is a nutrient that is essential for energy metabolism and nervous system function. B12 shots are often used to treat vitamin B12 deficiency, which can cause fatigue, weakness, and other symptoms.
Lipotropic shots, on the other hand, typically contain a combination of amino acids, vitamins, and other nutrients to help promote weight loss and fat metabolism. Lipotropic shots often contain B-complex vitamins, which can help to boost energy and support overall health, as well as other nutrients like methionine, inositol, and choline, which promote fat metabolism and help with weight loss.
In summary, while both B12 shots and lipotropic shots can be used to support weight loss and overall health, B12 shots contain only vitamin B12, while lipotropic shots contain a blend of amino acids, vitamins, and other nutrients that promote fat metabolism and weight loss.

The answer is…. it depends.
Many clinics sell these as “fat-burning” injections, and many people think they dissolve fat. But the science behind the MIC injections does not support that claim.
What they do is help the liver process fat cells that have already been broken down by the body, they do not break down fat cells themselves.
So in conjunction with a rapid medically supervised weight loss program or a body sculpting treatment (like CoolSculpting, Physiq, SculpSure) that breaks down fat cells, they do indeed help the liver process those fat cells out of the body.
The bottom line is that if you are not doing anything to break down your fat cells (ie medically supervised weight loss program or fat elimination procedures like CoolSculpting, Physiq, SculpSure), these injections will not help you lose weight or kill fat cells.
